🐾 Thank You, Atchison Community 🐾
We want to take a moment to thank every single person who has donated, shared our posts, attended events, and supported the Humane Society of Atchison. The generosity we’ve received has been truly incredible, and we are so grateful for a community that cares so deeply about animals in need.
Because of your support, we were able to secure enough funding to keep our doors open for another month. That is something we do not take for granted, and we cannot thank you enough.
At the same time, we want to be transparent about the reality we continue to face. The funds raised were enough to cover approximately one month of operating expenses and do not include the ongoing veterinary bills that come with caring for the animals who rely on us every day. Medical treatments, vaccinations, emergency care, food, supplies, utilities, and daily shelter operations all add up quickly.
Every dollar donated goes directly toward providing care, safety, and a second chance for the animals who enter our shelter. While we are incredibly thankful for what has been raised so far, our work is far from over. Continued support from our community will help ensure that we can keep helping homeless, abandoned, and neglected animals in the weeks and months ahead.
