❤️ UPDATE ON GRUMPY GARY! ❤️

We love getting updates like this! 🐾 His new family wanted us to know how happy they are with him and what a good boy he is! 🥰

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our shelter dogs settling into their new homes and being loved just as they deserve. ❤️🏡

Happy tails, Grumpy Gary! We’re so happy for you! 🐶💕

🐾 SHORTY IS BACK UP FOR ADOPTION! 🐾

Meet Shorty! 💙 This 10-month-old Dachshund/Pittie mix is neutered and up to date on everything!

We’ve learned a little more about this sweet boy and want to find the perfect home for him! 🏡

❤️ Here’s what we know about Shorty:
🐶 He gets along AMAZINGLY with dogs of all sizes!
👧 He is very gentle with little ones ages 1–6 and doesn’t jump on them.
🐕 He LOVES going to the dog park and playing with his furry friends!
🥰 He has separation anxiety and does NOT like being left alone.

Shorty will do best in a home with someone who is home most of the time and can give him the companionship and reassurance he needs. ❤️

This boy has so much love to give, and we want to find a family that understands his needs and will help him thrive. Could you be the one Shorty has been waiting for? 🐾💙

The Humane Society of Atchison would like to send a huge thank you to Justin Brokar with the Northeast Kansas Animal Welfare Foundation for his generous donation of Kuranda beds for some of our dogs and a Kuranda bed Cat Tower for our feline friends! 🐶🐱💙

These wonderful additions will help make our animals more comfortable while they wait for their forever homes. We are so grateful for the kindness and support of people and organizations who help us care for the animals in our community!

Thank you, Justin, and the Northeast Kansas Animal Welfare Foundation, for making a difference for our shelter pets! 🐾❤️
