Project Saving Serenity Non-Profit Organization dedicated to awareness of mental health illness, provide group support.

As a Survivor and Fighter of Depression for over 30 years, I was compelled to be the voice for those who suffer in silence from a serious and sometimes Fatal Illness called Depression. Diagnosed in my mid twenties with "Manic Depressive Disorder" it has taken me 20 years, many battles, scars and faith to finally realize I am not a VICTIM but a VICTOR from all the contributing factors to my illness

including abuse as a child. My Mission is to help others who suffer in silence by sharing my story and help STOP THE STIGMA. I pray that being transparent will encourage others to take a stand, get involved and make a difference in others lives, help prevent Su***de and CHANGE our COMMUNITY and their perception of this serious Disease. Together, we can STOP THE STIGMA and help others "Break Free From the Chains of Pain." Launched in late 2015, Project Saving Serenity is now helping others through monthly meetings, uplifting posts and referrals to other organizations and services provided to our group in our community.
