Thank you to everyone who attended our Chapter Meeting this evening!

We enjoyed pizza from while Claudia from gave us a presentation about their upcoming event. Central Coast Safe and Skilled Sisters of Education will be held this year from Friday October 2 through Sunday October 4. Registration opens May 1 with an early bird price of $375. Price goes up to $425 on June 1. Registration includes 3 hands-on classes, a membership, 6 meals, tent/RV/trailer camping, welcome bag and fun with friends while learning a new skill. February 2026 chapter meeting was a success! Tracy from .gun.works and gave us a presentation about the ins and outs of obtaining your Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) permit. Followed by a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) basic training overview from Andy . We surprised our members with an 🇺🇸 chocolate cake to enjoy during the presentations. We held a raffle for everyone who attended and also brought items for . Thank you to our speakers and everyone that attended.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday March 25th from 6-7:30p. We will have pizza and a raffle for those who attend. Extra raffle tickets will be given to anyone who brings items for ECHO Atascadero.

The February meeting of the SLO County CRPA will be on Wednesday, 2/25 @ 6PM.

This month, we will have the following presentations:

CERT, Community Emergency Response Team by Andy DeVoss

Mini Class: The Ins and Outs of Obtaining your Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) Permit by Tracy W**d

We will be having another door prize drawing (KleenBore Multi-Caliber Pistol cleaning kit, box of cleaning patches, cleaning brushes or swabs).

The board would like to thank all of the members who consistently bring donations to the meetings. You help is greatly appreciated.

Also this month, we’ll be accepting donations for ECHO Shelter. Please bring any donations to the next chapter meeting and receive an extra door prize drawing ticket. Thank you!

According to the chef at ECHO, they can use any type of meat, especially breakfast meat like bacon or sausage. Also Folgers coffee is needed. We will have a cooler on hand at the meeting for perishables.

Here is a list of grooming, hygiene and clothing items currently needed at the shelter:

Twin XL Sheets

Bath Towels

Long socks (S-L)

Closed toed, comfortable and durable shoes (i.e. sneakers, boots: sizes 6-13)

County Gun Owners Chapter shirts are now available to purchase ! They are available in white or black in both men and women sizes. You can also buy a shirt at our next chapter meeting on January 28th at 6p. (No meeting in December.)

Another successful chapter meeting for ! Tracy gave a little sneak peek of events, training and speakers for 2026. Pizza was enjoyed while Jim gave us a quick demo of how to clean a pistol. A handgun multi-kit was raffled off. Plus our new chapter shirts from came in just in time for the last meeting of the year! Want to purchase one of the shirts? Join us for our next meeting on January 28th 2026 to snag one in black or white available in both women and men sizes. There’s no meeting in December but check out our website next month for current training opportunities and future events. Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting and we look forward to seeing you at the next one!

This month’s meeting will include:

▫️A drawing for a KleenBore multi-caliber pistol cleaning kit. Everyone in attendance will receive a drawing ticket.
▫️Pizza, bring your appetite! 🍕
▫️Those who bring two (2) or more items to donate to the ALF (Atascadero Loaves and Fishes) Food Pantry will receive one additional drawing ticket. Food needed: Canned soup, Vegetables, Fruit, Canned tuna and/or other meats, Peanut Butter, Spaghetti and noodles, Macaroni and cheese, Rice, Beans, Low-sugar cereals.
▫️Jim will present an overview on proper firearm cleaning.
▫️Tracy will give a talk on what we can expect for our meetings in 2026.
