We are so excited to sponsor New Life K9s again this year at their Paws For Hope Fundraiser. This organization raises and trains service dogs for Veterans and First Responders free of charge. These precious dogs provide a life changing service to the men and women who have provided services to our nation and communities through bravery and sacrifice that many of us could only imagine. APF PINK PATCH PROJECT 2026

We are about a month out from the Atascadero Police Foundation’s Pink Patch Project for 2026! 👏🏼 Throughout October, you will see police officers in Atascadero proudly wearing pink patches and lapel pins to demonstrate solidarity and encourage community participation.

These items symbolize our commitment to raising awareness and funds for local breast cancer research and support. This is an initiative that is near and dear to our hearts. Breast cancer is a disease that affects all of us.

All proceeds from this initiative will benefit the Hearst Cancer Resource Center, which provides testing through the Breast Cancer Early Detection Fund, and 30 other free life-changing services for those affected by cancer in our SLO community. By purchasing a patch or pin, you show your support for breast cancer awareness and help make a difference in the lives of individuals and families battling this disease.

For just $10 each, we are excited to offer specially designed Atascadero PD pink patches and lapel pins. During the month of October, they will be available for cash purchase at the Atascadero Police Department Monday-Friday 8:00am-3:00pm or online (https://www.atascaderopolicefoundation.org/impact/pinkpatch/).

These patches and pins symbolize our ongoing commitment to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research and support. Let’s come together as an Atascadero community to honor survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and support local ongoing efforts in cancer research. Order your pink patch and lapel pin, and wear them proudly as a symbol of hope and solidarity.

It’s a busy Monday already at the VFW! Thanks to the abundant generosity of a Veteran donor, our Post and Auxiliary were able to coordinate a distribution of fresh fruit, bread, and vegetables to ALF! Teamwork makes the Dream Work! 🥰

Are you an annual member of the VFW Auxiliary? If so there are some changes you need to know about. New membership cards will no longer be mailed out yearly. Now, when you renew your membership you can either log in to Malta and print a single sided card or snap a pic and save it for n your phone. Check out the flyer for a guide on how to do this.
