Upper Salinas-Las Tablas Resource Conservation District Serving North San Luis Obispo County including portions of Monterey and Kern Counties since 1951, the US-LT RCD is a non-regulatory organization.

Upper Salinas-Las Tablas Resource Conservation District (US-LT RCD) provides technical assistance, education and resources to help agricultural, rural and urban communities preserve natural resources while supporting robust land productivity. The RCD has established an assortment of services and programs to serve the need of every kind of land manager in our region. Farmers, ranchers, and resident

RCD staff had the opportunity to visit Las Piletas Ranch last week, a stunning property managed by 🌱The flowers were blooming, the grass was green, and the sun was bright. Oh, and the fastest land animal in North America was out - the pronghorn! We look forward to supporting Las Piletas and The Nature Conservancy staff with conservation projects in the coming years.

Look folks, as much as we’d love to post more regular updates… we’re just so busy enjoying the sweet feeling of early Spring! In all seriousness, USLTRCD staff have been busy these last few weeks monitoring wildlife cameras, meeting all of the fun critters living at , planting hedgerows, surveying riparian areas and collaborating with our partners at NRCS and 🙌🏻

The and are collaborating on an exciting and FREE event! Please join us on Feb 3 for a Field Day at LeFort Organic Farm in Creston, CA.

This will be a great opportunity to learn from agricultural organizations and other farmers about various grants, incentives, and conservation groups that support farmers’ economic, environmental, and efficiency goals.

You will learn about programs from local representatives of USDA Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Resource Conservation Districts, and more!

We would like to send a big big big thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers who showed up to our Volunteer Planting day on Saturday hosted by 🌱 Seeing everyone find their groove and put in 500+ plants in just over two hours was truly impressive and such a great way to finish up our restoration plantings for the year. This project was made possible with funding from the and plants grown at and will help provide resources to Monarch butterflies and other pollinators for years to come!
