In honor of Women’s Day, the New York Mets recognized Hour Children, Inc. along with members of the Hour Working Women Program as their August Community Hero.
Hour Children is a Long Island City-based organization working to meet the needs of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and their children. The Hour Working Women Program provides employment services and educational programs to women on work release and justice impacted members of the wider community who lack access to resources.
Staff received tickets and were honored on the field during a pregame ceremony.
