Did you know? Writing a check isn't the only way to give.

Depending on your circumstances, appreciated stock, donor-advised funds, qualified charitable distributions, employer matching, recurring gifts and legacy giving may all be worth understanding.

You don't need to know what all of those mean before you come. That's the point.

Join local experts for GIVE WITH PURPOSE on October 21 and learn what questions are worth asking before year-end.

What books have shaped the way you lead?

3 BOOKS THAT CAN CHANGE THE WAY YOU LEAD 📚️

For Tanya, three favorites stand out, each offering a different lesson in becoming a stronger, more intentional leader.

📖 The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth by John C. Maxwell - Before you can lead others well, you have to learn to lead yourself. Growth begins with knowing yourself and being intentional about who you become.
📖 Leadership Gold by John C. Maxwell - Leadership is earned, not given. It takes commitment, resilience, and the willingness to keep showing up, especially during challenging times.
📖 Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown - You can’t do everything well. Learn to prioritize what matters most, create space to think, and say no to what distracts you from your purpose.

Tanya’s biggest takeaway? Know yourself. Keep growing. Focus on what matters.

Now we’d love to hear from you: What are your three favorite leadership books? Share them in the comments! 👇️

Leadership starts with an open mind. 💙

For Anna, the RFL experience helped her see the value of looking at things from different perspectives and understanding the unique personalities each person brings to the table.

When we stay open to different ways of thinking, we create more opportunities to listen, learn, and lead with greater understanding.

Because better leadership begins when we’re willing to see beyond our own perspective.

Better communication creates better leadership. 💙

For Kris, joining the RFL Facilitator Program is about continuing to give back to the community while growing as a leader.

As Kris takes on more project management and team leadership in her career, she’s seeing just how important clear communication, meaningful feedback, and strong relationships are to leading well.

The desire to keep learning and to become a better communicator for the people and teams she leads, is what makes leadership development so valuable.

Because becoming a better leader isn’t a destination. It’s an ongoing commitment to grow, contribute, and serve others well.

"What actually makes a community strong?"

STRONG COMMUNITIES DON’T HAPPEN BY ACCIDENT.

Andrea keeps coming back to three things:

➡️ Social capital - the relationships and trust between us.
➡️ Leadership - our willingness to step forward and contribute.
➡️ Civic capacity - our ability to work together and turn ideas into action.

Our communities are facing complex challenges. From housing and affordability to mental health, childcare, transportation, workforce needs, and more.

No one person or organization can solve these challenges alone.

But when people build strong relationships, step up to lead, and work across differences, communities become better equipped to face whatever comes next.

Strong communities are built together. 💙
