Congratulations to the five finalists for the 2024 Aspen Words Literary Prize! This $35,000 award honors fiction that illuminates vital contemporary issues and demonstrates the transformative power of literature on thought and culture.

Congratulations to the 2024 Aspen Words Literary Prize finalists!

📖 “Chain-Gang All-Stars” by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah
📖 “Temple Folk” by Aaliyah Bilal
📖 “Witness” by Jamel Brinkley
📖 “Enter Ghost” by Isabella Hammad
📖 “The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store” by James McBride��

These five titles are in the running for the $35,000 award, which honors works of fiction that illuminate vital contemporary issues and demonstrate the transformative power of literature on thought and culture.

The winner will be announced live at the Morgan Library and via livestream on Thursday, April 25.
