Sometimes the most powerful partnerships begin with a leap of faith. ✨

When - a numismatic powerhouse on Whatnot () first approached Shining Stars Foundation with the idea of hosting a charity coin auction, we didn’t quite know what to think. Online auctions? Live streaming sales? “Running it back”? It was all completely new territory for our team.

Behind the proposal was Bjorn Bergstrom—a passionate collector, entrepreneur, and the driving force behind TraderBea. Bjorn believed wholeheartedly that his community could raise six figures for Shining Stars. His confidence was bold, and frankly, a little hard for us to imagine at the time.

Still, we said yes, with no idea just what was going to transpire…. ✨

Shining Stars Foundation, a Colorado nonprofit based in Aspen, Winter Park, and Denver, is inviting the Roaring Fork Valley communities to help kick off its annual Holiday Toy Drive to benefit children with cancer and their families.

Today, our hearts are so full. We are truly thankful for the incredible children and families we have the honor of walking beside. Your strength, joy, and resilience inspire us every single day, and we are grateful to be a part of your journeys.

We are also deeply thankful for our staff, volunteers, board members, and donors whose dedication and generosity make our mission possible. This beautiful community shines because of each one of you.

Our Young Adult Shining Stars and mentors gathered in Denver this past weekend for one of our quarterly meetups.

Did you know we continue to support our Shining Stars well into adulthood? Some of these incredible survivors have been with us for over 20 years! 🤯🌟

We believe childhood cancer survivors deserve lifelong community, connection, and care. That’s why we host FREE meetups where our young adults can hang out, build friendships, and just enjoy being together.

PLUS our new mentorship program is already making a huge difference. Having someone to lean on while navigating the ups and downs of adulthood - Total game changer.
