Our girls have staffed Cub Haunted for three years and have had a blast every time.

This year, we got to work with our good friends and fellow scouts from BSA Troop 165G - Painesville Ohio, Maddie, and Riley! All of our scouts ROCKED the midway games station, running pumpkin bowling, rain gutter regatta boat making/racing, Tic Tac Toe, Corn hole, Gaga ball, human fooseball, and mini golf.

We finished an exhausting day with dinner in our cabin provided by amazing Assistant Cubmaster/den leader/ boys and girls committee member, Miss Molly!! Thank you for the great food! We also had ice cream that we shared with the boys, our Cubs, and Troop 165G!

Last night we worked on some team building, pulling a page out of ILST.

Crowded Circle was hard.

Leading scouts through a church while they're blindfolded is harder.

Our scouts learned that listening is important, but HOW you give directions is even more important.

Completely forgot to post these last month...

In May, one of the steps that our unit uses to haul gear in and out of the church basement was broken by an individual going through it. These steps have been here for a LONG time, so our girls thought of a service project to give back to our chartered organization. "Miss Jess, can we replace the steps?!"

Well, we made it happen. We are SO blessed to have the relationship with our charter that we do. A couple of meetings later, our girls had the supplies to do so.

Our girls learned how to use drills, ratchet and sockets, adjustable wrenches, hammers, and prybars. They learned different sizes and types of nuts, bolts, and washers, and different drill bits and what they're used for.

Girls, we are SO proud of you!! You stepped up to get the job done! Showed teamwork, and how to work through problems. You ladies rocked it every step of the way!

Last week, our girls headed to summer camp at Beaumont Scout Reservation and had a BLAST!! Our girls completed merit badges and service hours, and were in the pool every chance they got!

This year, our girls were faced with camping in extreme heat conditions. Temps every day we're in the mid to upper 90s, with heat indices near 110°. It was rough. Temps overnight barely made it out of the 80s, making for uncomfortable sleeping unless there was a fan in the tent. A LOT of water and electrolytes were had. Our girls made the best of it and will have memories for years!

Thank you to Beaumont Scout Reservation's incredible staff, and for being able to change plans to make sure everyone attending were safe! Aquatic staff, you definitely deserve props for last week!
