Meet Atlas ❤️ Your quiet, loyal companion is waiting for you!
Atlas first arrived at the shelter as a stray in 2023. Since then, she’s had a couple of chances at a home, but through no fault of her own, she’s found herself back at the shelter. Now, we’re hoping her next chapter will finally be her happily ever after.
Atlas is a bit of a wallflower when meeting new people, so she may not be the dog who rushes up to greet you or immediately asks for attention. But give her a little time, and you’ll discover what a sweetheart she truly is. Once she’s comfortable with you, she has the potential to be that loyal companion who’s waiting to welcome you home and curl up by your side.
She’s also a dream to walk! Atlas walks politely on a leash without pulling, follows your lead, takes treats gently, and calmly walks past other dogs in their kennels without trying to interact with them. She’s been a joy for our volunteers to walk and spend time with.
Because of a past conflict with another dog in her home, we believe Atlas would do best as the only dog in the household. We want to set her up for success in a home where she can relax, feel secure, and enjoy being someone’s special girl.
Atlas has so much love to give to someone willing to look past her shy first impression. She may not be the first dog to catch your eye, but she just might be the one who quietly steals your heart. ❤️
