Kinley's Krafts

Kinley's Krafts Kinley is collecting new crafts to donate to Nationwide Children's Hospital and will also be hosting lemonade stands & car washes to raise money for them.

Kinley was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in September, 2011 at the age of 6. She had a bone marrow transplant in January, 2012 in which she had to stay in the hospital for 66 days straight. During her stay at Nationwide Children's Hospital, her favorite thing to do was crafts of any kind. She loved when the craft cart would visit her room and bring her crafts to do as well as visit i

n the teen room with the other patients and do community crafts with the Recreational Therapist. Now that Kinley is in remission and feeling better, she would like to bring joy to the patients on the Hematology/Oncology/BMT floor by collecting craft supplies and delivering them to the patients. The craft supplies could be as simple as basic crayons and coloring books, glue, scissors and construction paper but items that the hospital is in need of are glitter glue pens, individual paint sets, stickers, play doh, foam art, individually packaged crafts, window crayons and markers. Please help us make our craft drive a success by bringing joy to the kids at Nationwide Children's Hospital while they can't be creative at school. Donate to Kinley's Krafts today!

Thank you so much Lisa Jablonski/Cheer Max for all the crafts for the kids! Kinley was so surprised to come home from college today and find packages on the porch for her but was even more excited to know that the contents inside will put smiles on the faces of so many kids. Thanks so much for your generous donation and for your continued support of Kinley’s Krafts ❤️🎗️❤️

Kinley had her first physical therapy appointment today and she did great! Her incisions look great and she improved her range of movement from the beginning of the appointment to the end. This girl is a champ! But I’m sure she’ll be sore tonight. She is so ready to get home and finally be able to take a real shower! I reminded her it’s the little things we take for granted. There once was a time she was in the hospital didn’t get a real shower for 3 months!

Kinley had her knee surgery today and all went well. The crutches proved to be a little tricky as it was an adjustment getting them just the right height for her. But she’s been a great patient and will back to tending to her patients in no time!

Why yes, we did purchase Christmas presents for the kids already…in January!!! Because we love a bargain and it’s never too early to plan ahead! We will be working with a special organization this Christmas, near and dear to our heart, to give back to kids in need in our local community. More to come on this amazing connection later but if you would like to help give back, we are collecting new toys and crafts for all ages! Reach out if you would like to help support Kinley’s Krafts ❤️🎗️❤️

Kinley has been dealing with knee pain for quite some time. She has been pushing through; never complaining, always a smile on her face. Her amazing athletic trainer was able to get her in with a great orthopedic doctor who quickly pinpointed the pain and suggested surgery. Unfortunately, this will take Kinley out of cheer for her senior year. As sad as I am about this, I know it will allow her more time to focus on her nursing studies and let her body heal.

Im so thankful the athletic trainer helped her push through and she was able to compete at her final College Cheer Nationals last week. Watching her take the mat one last time was priceless. Cheer has been such a big part of her life the last 15 years and has helped her grow so much through her cancer battle. I’ll miss seeing her on the sidelines at BG but I’ll always be her biggest cheerleader ❤️🎗️❤️

14 years ago, Kinley spent Christmas Eve in the hospital not knowing if she would make it home to celebrate Christmas. Today, she worked her first Christmas shift at the hospital. We are so thankful for all of God’s blessings! We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year ❤️🎗️❤️

So happy to be able to celebrate another year cancer free! Keep being amazing, Kinley! ❤️🎗️❤️
