This month, Megan Hampu, our President and CEO, has selected Wornstaff Library as our FidFed Cares recipient.

Wornstaff Library is a non-profit, service-oriented group dedicated to advancing our community through the library, developing and maintaining an association of persons interested in the Wornstaff Library, and focusing the public’s attention on library services.

Although the library is a great resource for all ages, Megan believes that childhood literacy helps to shape one of the most important developmental stages in a person’s life. It opens the door for kids to imagine, explore, and learn and helps set them up for a lifetime of success. Our donation went toward the purchase of audio books, fostering the love of reading early in the learning-to-read process.

Support the Library—One Sip at a Time! We have two weeks left in our quarter and we only need $25 to hit our goal of $300. You can help us hit our goal by purchasing a drink from Richwood bank and telling them you want your donation to go to The Friends of Wornstaff!

These organizations will use these funds to improve and expand programs that make a real difference throughout our communities—and the best part is that 100% of your donation goes directly to them.

Wow, what a turnout we had for our 3rd annual ice cream social - it was so great seeing everyone! We ran out of ice cream so we will make sure to buy extra next year!

Join us on June 1 for ice cream on the lawn of the library!! We will be dishing up ice cream from 11:30am to 1:30pm.

Did you know you can help the Friends of Wornstaff Library just by grabbing your favorite drink? Now through the end of June, every coffee, frappe, smoothie, or tea you buy at Richwood Bank’s Coffee Shop turns into a donation for the library! Just tell them you want your coffee donation to go to the Friends of Wornstaff and help us reach our goal before the end of June!

Have you visited Richwood Coffee? The Friends of Wornstaff is a beneficiary this quarter, so if you visit one of their locations and purchase a drink, you can designate that the money come to us. They are located in Richwood banks in Delaware, Marysville, Richwood, Springfield, Bellefontaine and Plain City. Stop in and try one of their delicious drinks soon!

Would you like an easy way to help The Friends of Wornstaff raise money? Adding our group to Kroger Rewards is a great way to help and it's easy. Just follow the steps below; Kroger gives back a portion of your grocery bill to us quarterly!

• Go to www.kroger.com and log into your account
• Go to My Account and then Community Rewards
• Under Find an Organization search for Friends of the Wornstaff Memorial Public Library either by name or XE548
• Click Enroll
• New users will need to create an account which requires basic information, a valid email address and a Kroger Rewards card.

Do you want to have some fun and get some exercise too? Come join the Wornstaff Walkers on Mondays and Wednesdays. We walk around town and then head back to the library to visit and have a healthy snack.

Join Wornstaff Library’s Walking Program. The program will take place every Monday and Wednesday at 10:30am.
Spring Wornstaff Walkers will begin on Monday April 27, 2026 and continue until Wednesday May 27, 2026.
