Can you believe Tri-State Spay and Neuter started 10 years ago?!?! We have spay/neutered and vaccinated almost 16,000 cats, helped injured and sick cats and kittens and transported thousands of unowned cats to trusted rescue partners so that they can find their forever homes. 🐈🐈‍⬛🐈💙 A BIG THANK YOU to all our vets and volunteers!

🚨 MISSING from Catletts Creek🚨

Orange, male cat. He is fixed and has a small cut in his left ear at top. His name is Sheldon.

He was last seen on camera at 9:13 am Friday.

If anyone finds him, please call 606-939-2476. He also has a soresto flea collar on.

Update 2: Zeena has her spay surgery today and is recovering nicely. The tech reports that she loves to eat 😍 and bring cuddled. Now that she's no longer in pain and has been spayed Zeena will be looking for a foster or forever home. Blind cats adapt very quickly including knowing where the litter box is, jumping up onto the sofa, etc.

Update: Zeena is doing well after surgery. She's on pain meds and will stay at the vet to recieve IV fluids and monitoring. You can already tell she feels so much better.

Poor Zeena was left behind when her family was evicted. Not only that but both her eyes are about to rupture. 😢 To relieve the pain, both eyes need removed immediately.

Zeena is currently at the vet and getting ready for surgery but we need help covering the bill. The estimate to remove both eyes and spay this sweet 9 year old girl is $1600.

Feline Fact Friday ... Winter Edition

❄️ Did you know that outdoor community cats need extra calories in the winter to keep extra fat layers on their bodies to keep them warmer in the colder temperatures?

Feeding adult food mixed with some kitten food (which has more calories than adult food) is a good option in the winter months.

⚠️ Mix small amounts of kitten food gradually so the cats' tummies don't get upset.

🚩It is only necessary to feed more calories during the colder months.

❗️If you're feeding community cats - thank you - but please make sure they are spayed & neutered!

🐾❄️ Help Outdoor Cats Stay Warm This Winter! ❄️🐾
Tri-State Spay & Neuter is collecting coolers to create safe, warm shelters for community cats. We’ll be filling them with straw to help keep outdoor cats cozy all winter long.

👉 We’re looking for:
• Styrofoam coolers (large enough for a cat or two and STRAW)
• Plastic coolers 48 qt or larger (new or used)
If you have a cooler to spare, your donation will go directly toward helping cats in need this winter. 💙🐱
