River Cities Kitties will be set up for Pets on Parade! Stop by and see what we're all about, grab a surprise for the kids, and introduce us to your cutest pets. 💚💙 We can't wait to see you there!

Get ready for "Pets on Parade" September 4th at First Friday in downtown Ashland. Dress your pet in their favorite outfit, strut across the stage, and show off their personality (or yours!). Registration begins at 4:30pm on Broadway Square and the pageant starts at 6pm. At 7pm, all the cuteness will parade down Wi******er Avenue. This is a free event, and everyone is welcome to participate.

Join the fun! Visit with local rescues. Enter the raffle for prizes. City of Ashland Parks and Recreation is providing free face painting and Peanuts the Clown will make an appearance. After the parade, stay and listen to Charlie Robot on the square! Free parking is available in the City parking garage off of 17th Street.

We ask everyone to be considerate to others and follow some rules:

All animals must be on leash.
Animals must have current rabies vaccine.
Keep all animals off the war memorial lawns.
All animals are the responsibility of the owner-including clean up.

Please share and tell your friends!

What's on our mind?
Supplies.
Traps.
We REALLY need more traps. And new traps.
Some of our current traps have seen better days -and a few too many raccoons 🦝.

The more traps we have the more cats we can catch during one TNR outing. The more cats we can catch at one time the faster we can help reduce the stray/feral cat population.

Judging by our inbox, we know you all would want that too!

We have created an Amazon wishlist of supplies/traps we use regularly and we are wishing real hard right now.

And, hey, If you were headed over to Amazon anyways .....

We removed the original post because the music may have been a problem 🫣.

However, the point of the original post still stands true.

We appreciate all the cats. The black cats 🖤, the white cats 🤍, the orange cats🧡, the striped, the young, the old.

Gravy here ran into the best kind of people this day....animal rescue people. He was caught, and vetted, and moved on to brighter days.

This is Sara Wellman doing what she lives to do.

We are just gonna try sharing it again with *hopefully* Facebook approved audio 🫠

🐾 WE DID IT!!🐾

Today, with YOUR help, we were able to spay/neuter 11 kitties. That's 11 more kitties that wont contribute to the overpopulation crisis. THANK YOU!

The need at times feels overwhelming but doing something is always better than doing nothing and each day we strive to do a little more.

Here's some of the cuties that were able to get fixed today because of you 🥰

Now, time to plan for the next round of surgeries

Still no donations for this little baby girl. 😢

💙💚

On Friday, as we were getting everyone ready for their trip to Versailles for vetting, we realized one of our passengers had a pretty significant leg injury.

Sometimes, we run into situations where our kitties need a little extra love and even though they are only with us for spay and neuter, we will always ensure any other issues are addressed as well.

This little one was seen by a vet the following day and will likely need her little front leg amputated in order to make life a bit easier for her.

Please consider a tax-deductible donation to help us cover this baby's medical needs and get her on to a happier, healthier life. 🙏
