Clemons Library on University of Virginia Grounds will be open as a warming center this weekend for those seeking shelter from the forecasted winter weather.

Warming center hours:

❄️Saturday, 9 AM - 8 PM
❄️Sunday: 12 PM - 10 PM
❄️Monday: 10 AM - 2 AM

In light of the disruption to water service, YMCAs in the region are opening their doors to anyone who would like a shower and a friendly place to connect with others.

Guests will need to bring a photo ID, towel and toiletries to one of the branches listed below. Please note, there might be a brief wait for shower access depending upon demand.

Patrick Henry Family YMCA, 217 Ashcake Road, Ashland

📣WE ARE ONE WEEK AWAY FROM THE NEXT ONE STOP SHOP💯💯💯We will have DMV ON-SITE. Plus Rent and Utilities relief for Charlottesville residents from 2-3pm. We will have gift cards, kids’ prizes, and FREE FOOD courtesy of Blackjackmobile Blackjackmobile! You can also check your voter registration status at the One Stop Shop! We will also have UVA Law’s Decarceration department to discuss options pertaining to restoration of rights.

Also BIG SHOUT OUT to JJs Barbershop coming through with the free haircuts, with the baby supplies and with (PlanB) donations to the One Stop Shop!!!
