This weekend our 3E program staff took students from 4 different Ashland county schools on a field trip to Honey Haven Farm

We made new friends, tried pumpkin flavored ice cream, and got lost in the corn maze multiple times 😆

Thank you to the staff at Honey Haven for making sure our kids had an experience to remember 🌽 🎃 🍂

The things we'll do to see our kids smile 😆

Jeff, Jordan, and the rest of our AFF team brought nearly 50 Ashland county kids to Honey Haven Farm this weekend for a day of sunshine, corn mazes, and hay rides. While we can't wait to come back to Honey Haven, we'll probably skip the slide next time 😉

🌲 Camp Nuhop – Day 2! 🛶☀️

Day 2 started with a morning hike before heading out onto the water for a canoe trip! 🛶 Both our mentors and mentees had the opportunity to face some fears, try something new, and work together as they navigated the canoes. We also set expectations around water safety and the importance of staying out of the water due to the cold temperatures.

After our canoe trip, we spent some time playing games, enjoying the sunshine, and simply having fun together. These activities gave our group another opportunity to build relationships while practicing patience, teamwork, and healthy communication.
We also got creative with a nature craft, giving everyone the chance to bring a little piece of the outdoors into their everyday lives. 🍃🎨

What made this day especially meaningful was watching our mentors and mentees encourage one another, work through challenges, and continue building connections. These may seem like simple activities, but they create opportunities for young people to learn skills they can carry with them far beyond camp.

A huge thank you again to the Ashland County Community Foundation, Ashland County Department of Job and Family Services, and the amazing staff at Camp Nuhop for helping make this experience possible! ❤️

Coming off an incredible long weekend with our mentoring program! 🏕️

Here are some of our amazing mentors and mentees from Day 1 at Camp Nuhop! Saturday was filled with team-building activities, challenges, and plenty of opportunities to step outside of our comfort zones.

Throughout the day, our mentors and mentees worked together, encouraged one another, and learned what it means to push through situations that might feel scary, uncomfortable, or completely new. For some of our mentees, this was their first time spending a night away from their parents which made seeing their confidence grow throughout the day even more meaningful.

There were plenty of laughs, a few nerves, and definitely some moments where everyone had to dig a little deeper and say, “I can do this.”💪

This weekend was made possible through the incredible support of the Ashland County Community Foundation , Ashland County Department of Job and Family Services, and the amazing staff at Camp Nuhop.

We are so grateful for everyone who helped give these young people an opportunity to challenge themselves, build relationships, and create memories they’ll carry with them. ❤️

Look at the incredible creativity from our mentees at Camp Nuhop🌲✨

This was our last hands on session of the weekend, and what a perfect way to create a lasting memory from our time away. These beautiful nature crafts were made from sticks carefully lashed together with twine, then decorated with leaves, acorns, and buckeyes. Every piece is unique — so much variety and imagination on display!

So proud of these young makers and the wonderful keepsakes they created. 💚
