The Bluejay state qualifiers will compete at the CHI Health Center in Omaha on February 19-21st. If you are interested in purchasing a ticket for each session the Bluejays are in action and sitting with the A-G fans please check the information below. A message from the Konzem Family to the Bluejay Wrestling community,

We want to thank the whole Ashland Greenwood community for all the support this wrestling season! While there’s only one boy on the mat when the whistle blows, that certainly doesn’t mean there wasn’t a huge team that got him there.

We’re so grateful for everyone who pitched in from the coaches to the managers, from the trainers and therapists to the doctors, from the room openers and cooks to the teachers, from the teammates to the cheerleaders, from the posters and tweeters to the newspapers, and from the parents to all the members of the community. They say it takes a village; they’re right. And Ashland Greenwood is the absolute best village!

State Tournament Day 2 Consolation Recap:
113 Archer Ferguson defeated Krejci of Aurora and was then defeated by Lovejoy of Central City. Archer finishes his freshman season as a state qualifier with a 26-16 record.

138 Davis Brady was defeated by Ostrander of Mount Michael. Davis finishes his junior year as a state qualifier with a 21-13 record.

144 Matthew McConnell defeated Holding of DC West and was then defeated by Grandel of Ralston. Matthew finishes his junior year as a state qualifier with a 27-14 record.

State Tournament Day 1 Recap:
113 Archer Ferguson was defeated by Ourada of Omaha Skutt in the first round. He will wrestle Krejci of Aurora today.

138 Davis Brady was defeated by Greve of Waverly in the first round. He will wrestle Ostrander of Mount Michael today.

144 Matthew McConnell was defeated by Diaz of Lexington in the first round. He will wrestle Holding of DC West today.

285 Carver Konzem defeated Hiatt of Lincoln Christian in the first round and then defeated Bailey of Holdrege in the quarterfinals. Carver will wrestle Tucker from Blair tonight in the semi finals.
