This Juneteenth, we're open and we'd love for you to spend the day with us!

Juneteenth marks the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved people in this country, and there's no better way to honor it than together, in community, surrounded by the stories that built us.

Join us for Songs of Truth from 11am to 1pm, a program of music and reflection that carries the spirit of the day. After that, we'll be open for regular hours, so come through, take your time, and soak it all in.
..and don't forget to stop by the gift shop while you're here. We've pulled together some special finds just for Juneteenth, so you can take a piece of the celebration home with you.

We'll see you there!

This is our NAACP’s year of Medgar!Medgar was a field organizer for the NAACP.
Today, we need those young people to step up and become members of your NAACP and get into the work of organizing to get people to the polls to vote, to help people to understand what they are actually voting for.
We need to grow our Hanover Naacp so that we can more adequately cover and assist with the injustice that occur in our community. In the next 18 months.:
We need committed and involved members to do this work. You may be a member on record, but we need you to come and help in doing this work.
If you’re not a member, we need you to join. If you live in Hanover, work in Hanover, or go to church in Hanover, join your local Hanover NAACP. And we’re looking for that young group of people, particularly ages 18 to 30, to become active in maintaining what your ancestors achieved.
Join us at www.hcbnaacp.org.
