If you come in person we want to remind you to be careful in the parking lot, as the temperature rises today the ice will be melting and be more slippery than before. The front sidewalk and steps are still covered in ice and impassable, so we are encouraging everyone to use the rear entrance door to come upstairs.

110 Years of Excellence. 250 Years of American Strength. 🇺🇸🛠️

As we share this update from our National office, we do so with a profound sense of Gratitude. UA Local 248 was chartered in 1916, and as we celebrate our 110th anniversary this year, we are reminded that our strength comes from the generations of brothers and sisters who built this region.

In 2026, as our nation marks its 250th anniversary, we find Enlightenment in the fact that the skilled trades remain the backbone of the American Dream. The public support for union apprenticeships mentioned below isn't just a trend—it is a recognition that our gold-standard training is essential to the future of our country.

We are entering this year with the Motivation to train the next generation of craftsmen and craftswomen. We aren't just teaching a trade; we are continuing a legacy of American excellence that has stood the test of time.

Here’s to another year of setting the standard!

Overwhelming public support for union apprenticeships confirms what UA members already know: our training sets the standard and leads directly to long-term union careers in essential industries.
