The town's flower beds were beautifully decorated by the Ashland Garden Club ladies on what felt like a summer evening. Plants and mulch were used to enhance Memorial Park Circle, The Monument, Town Hall Garden, Flag Island, and the Horse Trough. The event featured refreshments and camaraderie, resulting in a job well done.

The inaugural meeting of the AGC in April showcased Ashland's very own Kirby. Kirby's garden is truly remarkable. Take a drive along Riverside Drive in Ashland, situated opposite the pond, and be impressed. Previously, Kirby has generously shared his perennials with our club for town gardens by splitting and donating them. On Monday night, we were captivated by his insightful discussion on seed collection, drying, storage, and labeling. Members were subsequently invited to avail themselves of the seed table, and as expected, we enjoyed a delightful potluck.

The Ashland Garden Club convened at a local restaurant this Friday ……not for a meeting …….. not for any special announcements…… not for any club business. The gathering was for fun, for a chance to chase away winter doldrums, for rekindling friendships, and to just say hello!
