ASH is offering a 4 week DSA Art Class with artist Kaya Hagen! Explore colors & shapes, still life & trees, & abstraction using acrylic, watercolor, pencil, & inks. All materials provided. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on. *We will have an art show and sale at the end of the 4 weeks at a date/time TBA. All proceeds from art show solely benefit the artist.

Tuesdays, 10:00am – 12:00pm
November 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th*

Nothing says “team bonding” like getting soaked while washing work vehicles with our residents. 😂🧼❤️ Of course, we had to get a drink afterward to properly reward ourselves for all that hard work🥤 We earned it!

We celebrated Direct Support Professionals Appreciation Week with an ice cream dance party and gifts at Garfield Park! Thank you to our AMAZING DSPs for all that you do for the people we support to live rich, fulfilling and productive lives with dignity and respect.

✈️❤️ One of her favorite things to do is go on an airplane ride, and we’re so happy she got to enjoy it again! Seeing her excitement and happiness makes these moments so special. We love that we get to experience fun adventures with her, create memories, and be part of the things that bring her so much joy. 🥰✨

💙 Looking for a meaningful way to get involved in your community?

Ashland Supportive Housing and Community Outreach, Inc. (ASH) supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live rich, fulfilling, and productive lives with dignity and respect.

We have four group homes in beautiful Ashland, Oregon, providing 24/7 support to 16 individuals. We also have a growing Day Support Activities program, currently featuring a Theater Group that is rehearsing several times a week for a performance this November! 🎭

We are looking for volunteers and have several opportunities available:

🎲 Spend time with someone in one of our homes

Play games, work on puzzles, read, cook, go for a walk, or simply visit and spend time together. We’ll work with you to find a good match based on your interests and hobbies. Ideally, this would be a weekly commitment on a set schedule.

🎉 Help with special events

We are planning monthly events for the people we support, including a Fall Photo Shoot, Holiday Party with Santa, Cookie Decorating, a Picnic in the Park, a group trip to Wildlife Safari, and more! Volunteers would help with planning, setup, and engaging with the people we support during these events.

🎭 Join our Day Support Activities

Our Theater Group is currently rehearsing and preparing for a November performance. Volunteers can help with theater games, rehearsals, and supporting participants as they prepare for and take part in the show. We hope to offer additional small groups in the future, including fishing and hiking groups!

🏛️ Join our Board of Directors

We are also seeking community members interested in serving on the ASH Board of Directors. Board members help provide organizational governance, financial and fiduciary oversight, and strategic guidance to help ASH remain strong and continue fulfilling its mission. We welcome people who bring a variety of professional experience, skills, perspectives, and connections to our community.

Volunteers must complete and pass a background check through Oregon Developmental Disabilities, which ASH will coordinate.
If you’re interested in volunteering, we’d love to hear from you! We can provide an application and meet with you to talk about opportunities and find a way for your interests and talents to fit with the people we support.
