Appleseed Community Mental Health Center

Appleseed Community Mental Health Center Appleseed Community Mental Health Center, Inc. is a not for profit community mental health agency.

Appleseed walks with families and individuals on their journey to live healthy, whole, and productive lives by offering comprehensive and integrated behavioral health, housing, outreach & prevention, substance-use disorder, and victim services. Appleseed wishes to maximize an individual’s existing strengths, focus on solutions and create a supportive environment for people suffering from mental il

lness. This is in contrast to focusing on existing weaknesses, problems, and creating an environment not chosen by the individual. Appleseed strives to serve individuals in the least restrictive, most appropriate environment possible. Appleseed seeks to address the needs of all Ashland County residents, including the needs of the general public and the needs of people with severe mental disability, as identified both in the Ashland County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services’ community plan and through Appleseed’s needs assessment activities.

Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember the lives lost to overdose, hold space for the people who loved them, and stand with everyone whose life has been affected by substance use.

We also recognize that recovery is possible—and no one should have to pursue it alone. 💜

A little behind-the-scenes adventure 👀🎨☕

Candace and Becky were out and about for a meeting at AU about something exciting we’re working on (more on that soon!). Along the way, Candace paid her respects to some paintbrushes that were tragically lost to dried paint and, naturally, a coffee stop was necessary before heading back to the office.

Big changes are happening! 👏

We're excited to share a look at the before-and-after transformation of our new office on Short Street. This space will soon house our Case Management team, giving them a dedicated place to continue helping individuals navigate services, overcome barriers, and work toward their goals.

It's more than just a renovated building—it's another step in expanding our ability to serve our community.

Happy International Left-Handers Day! 👋💚

Today we’re giving a shoutout to Appleseed’s lefties—the ones navigating a world of right-handed scissors, backwards notebooks, and mysteriously smudged ink. 😂✍️

Drop a ✋ in the comments if you’re part of the left-handed club!

⛳ One mission. Many programs. One incredible community.

Thank you to everyone who supported this year's 7th Annual Safe Haven Golf Outing! Through the generosity of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, donors, and community partners, we raised $11,000 to support Safe Haven's mission and the life-changing services they provide to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

Safe Haven is one of the many programs offered through Appleseed Community Mental Health Center, working alongside our mental health, crisis, recovery, prevention, and community support services to strengthen the health and well-being of our community.

Thank you for helping us make a difference. Together, we're creating safer, healthier communities for everyone. 💙💜
