Three incredible Cheatham County Special Olympics athletes are traveling home today with a little more luggage, a few well-earned medals, and a lifetime of memories.

From medals in bocce and swimming to friendships built with Team Tennessee and athletes from all 50 states, this journey has been about so much more than competition.

As an athletics coach traveling with Team TN, Jennifer Copeland couldn't be more proud. Watching these athletes compete with determination, trust their training, give their very best, and cheer each other on every step of the way made every moment worthwhile.

When you see these amazing athletes, please take a moment to congratulate them and show them the love and support of Cheatham County. They represented our community with heart, courage, and sportsmanship, and we couldn't be prouder.

Welcome home, champions! ❤️💙💛
