Chosen With a Mission Located in Matugga, Uganda, Chosen Junior School began as a place for local orphans to receive food and medicine.

Chosen has grown to include over 300 students and orphans!

🇺🇬 BACK FROM UGANDA, BUT THE MISSION CONTINUES! 🇺🇬

Our recent Uganda Missions Trip was such a special time, and one of the highlights was seeing the incredible work happening at the Chosen Medical Clinic! 🩺

What began as a vision is now a place where patients can receive medical care through the dedication of the clinic’s doctor, Mr. Deo Batambula, Nurse Jacklyn, and the support of so many who have given, prayed, and believed in this mission.

During our visit, we were reminded just how important this clinic is to the Matugga community. From essential medical equipment, including the microscope and recently acquired centrifuge, to the everyday supplies needed to care for patients, every contribution helps make a difference. These resources help equip the clinic to continue serving those in need while sharing the love of Christ. 🙏🏽

But the work doesn't stop when our team comes home! The clinic continues to need ongoing support to provide medical supplies, maintain equipment, and serve patients in the community.

🇺🇬 DAY 6 IN UGANDA: PRAYING FOR A LASTING IMPACT!🙏

Day 6 was filled with meaningful goodbyes, new beginnings, and reminders of all that God is doing in Matugga, Uganda, through Chosen With a Mission!

📚 FINAL VISIT TO CHOSEN JUNIOR SCHOOL
We made our final visit to the Chosen Junior School, spending precious time with the students and staff. Please pray that seeds planted through these relationships will continue to grow and the children will be encouraged in their faith and education!

🙏 GRACE AND GLORY CHAPEL
We met with the Grace and Glory Chapel staff and Sunday school teachers, shared the new curriculum, and prayed over them! Please pray these resources will strengthen their ministry, equip the teachers, and help children grow in their knowledge of God's Word.

🇺🇬 CELEBRATING UGANDA'S 64TH INDEPENDENCE DAY!
We also celebrated Uganda's Independence Day with a visit to Cafe Java! What a special opportunity to celebrate alongside our Ugandan brothers and sisters!

✈️ SAYING GOODBYE TO MATUGGA
As we leave Matugga and say goodbye to James, we ask for your prayers as we board the plane and begin our journey home.

🙏 HOW CAN YOU PRAY:
- Pray for traveling mercies, safety, and protection for our team as we travel home.
- Pray for James, the school staff, chapel workers, and Sunday school teachers as they continue serving faithfully.
- Pray that the new Sunday school curriculum will bear lasting fruit in the lives of the children and teachers.
- Pray that the relationships built, prayers shared, and work accomplished during this trip will leave a lasting impression for God's Kingdom.
- Pray for Chosen With a Mission Ministries as we continue supporting the schools, chapel, medical clinic, and children in Matugga, Uganda.

As we leave Uganda, we may be saying goodbye for now, but the work God is doing continues! Thank you to everyone who has prayed, given, and supported this mission. You are part of what God is doing in Uganda! ❤️

🇺🇬 DAY 5 IN UGANDA: SERVING GOD BY SERVING OTHERS 🇺🇬

Day 5 was a more casual day filled with sports, sunshine, and meaningful time with our Chosen family!

Here’s a glimpse of our day:

☀️ Watching the Chosen students play sports and enjoying time together!

🏡 Visiting Margaret, James’ mother, at her home.

📖 Gathering for a community Bible study at Grace and Glory Chapel, where Bruce and Nancy continued our theme of Serving God. Today’s focus was on serving one another and God’s design for marriage.

Even on the more relaxed days, God continues to open doors for fellowship, encouragement, and opportunities to grow together in Him!

🙏 HOW CAN YOU PRAY?

• Pray for the Chosen orphans - Ask God to strengthen their faith as they continue spending intentional time together in Bible study and prayer. Pray that these moments build lasting relationships with Christ and with one another.

• Pray for the older orphans approaching adulthood - As they near the age when they will age out of Chosen’s care, pray for wisdom and discernment as the team considers how best to support them. Ask God to open doors for employment, continued mentorship, education, and opportunities for them to become independent and thrive.

• Pray for the community Bible study - Ask that everyone understands what it truly means to serve Him by serving others. Pray the teaching on God’s design for marriage strengthens families, encourages couples, and brings glory to Him.

• Continue praying for the Chosen schools, students, teachers, and staff. Pray for protection, wisdom, encouragement, and strength for everyone serving the young people each day.

• Pray for our team and our relationships. Ask God to continue uniting us with our brothers and sisters in Christ in Uganda, giving us humble hearts, opportunities to serve, and eyes to see where He is working.

• Pray for continued opportunities to share the love of Jesus. May every conversation, visit, Bible study, and moment spent together point others toward Him!

Thank you for continuing to pray alongside us! We are grateful for every person who is lifting up this trip, the Chosen ministry, and the people of Uganda. Your prayers matter! 🙏🇺🇬

🇺🇬 DAY 4 IN UGANDA 🇺🇬

Today was a special day as we gathered for a community event and the launch of James Kintu’s new book, Biblical Work Ethics. 📖

James has a heart to help others understand what it looks like to honor God through our work, our responsibilities, our relationships, and the way we serve others. Today’s book launch was an opportunity to encourage and equip the community with biblical principles that can impact families, workplaces, churches, and future generations.

🙏 HOW CAN YOU PRAY?

• Pray for James Kintu as he shares the message of Biblical Work Ethics. Pray that God would use this book to encourage, challenge, and equip many people.

• Pray that the principles of faithfulness, integrity, diligence, and serving God through our work would take root in the hearts of those who read the book.

• Pray for the community relationships being built through events like this. Ask God to open doors for deeper conversations, discipleship, and opportunities to share the Gospel.

• Continue to pray for the students, teachers, staff, guardians, and children of Chosen Junior School and Chosen High School that we visited this week. Pray that God would strengthen and encourage each one and that the seeds planted through our time together would continue to grow.

• Pray for the entire Chosen With a Mission ministry—the schools, medical clinic, churches, children, families, staff, and volunteers. Pray for wisdom, unity, provision, and continued opportunities to serve.

Most importantly, pray that everything we do in Uganda would point people to Jesus and bring glory to God. 🙏❤️🇺🇬

🇺🇬 DAY 3 IN UGANDA 🇺🇬

Day 3 was filled with moments that reminded us why we serve. So many faces, so many stories, and so many opportunities to pray and encourage.

📚 THE CHOSEN JUNIOR SCHOOL

We spent time at the Chosen Junior School, meeting with the teachers and praying over each class—from Baby Class (preschool) all the way through P7 (Primary 7, equivalent to 8th grade).

We also gathered around the table with the Junior School staff, lifting up the teachers, staff, and students in prayer. 🙏

We then had the privilege of meeting with the guardians of the Chosen Junior School students. We shared a message of encouragement and gratitude, thanking them for entrusting their children to us and allowing us to be part of their lives.

We prayed over the guardians and their children—many of whom are receiving free education through Chosen With a Mission. ❤️

It was emotional, it was beautiful, and it was a powerful reminder that education is about so much more than a classroom. It's about investing in children, families, and futures.

🙏 HOW CAN YOU PRAY?

Please pray for:
• The teachers and staff of the Chosen Junior School—that God would give them wisdom, strength, patience, and joy as they serve these children.
• Every student—from Baby Class through P7—that they would grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
• The guardians and families—that they would feel encouraged, supported, and reminded that they are not alone.
• The children who receive free education through Chosen With a Mission—that God would continue to open doors and provide for their futures.
• The Chosen orphans—that they would know how deeply they are loved and that their faith in God would continue to grow.
• Our team—that God would give us wisdom, energy, and opportunities to serve faithfully each day.

🇺🇬 DAY 2 IN UGANDA 🇺🇬

Day 2 was filled with opportunities to serve, encourage, pray, and build relationships!

📚 Visiting the high school students & meeting with the high school teachers!
We spent time with them, listened, encouraged them, and prayed over them all. 🙏

Our focus was on faithful friends who help us in service and what it means to remain faithful to God.

🙏 HERE'S HOW YOU CAN PRAY:

• Pray that their friendships would deepen and become a source of encouragement and strength.
• Pray that their faith would come alive and grow stronger each day.
• Pray for every child and student who does not yet know Jesus—that they would come to know Him as their personal Savior.
• Pray for the teachers, students, and children we are serving—that God would continue to work in their hearts and lives.

Pray for our Uganda Trip! Chosen with a Mission

🇺🇬 DAY 1 IN UGANDA! ❤️

Getting ready for another day of serving! Yesterday was an incredible first day as we toured everything that is now part of Chosen With a Mission —including the Chosen Medical Clinic, which was especially exciting to see! 🏥❤️

Last night, Nancy taught the youth about Serving God, using the example of young Daniel. What a powerful reminder that God can use young people who are willing to serve Him! 🙏

Today, the team will get to put the Sunday school curriculum created last year to the test! They’ll be teaching the children a lesson on Creation and sharing in the main church as we continue our theme of service.

We’re excited to see what God is going to do through this team and throughout this trip! Please continue to pray for us, the children, the youth, and everyone we have the opportunity to serve. ❤️🇺🇬

✨️Five days till we leave for Uganda!✨️

While we're there, we have a busy week planned. We'll be speaking at a youth gathering, Sunday church service, four evening sessions with the orphans living on our campus, keynote at a community event, and at an evening Bible study.

We also have visits planned for the Chosen Junior School, Chosen High School, Chosen Medical Clinic, and the Grace and Glory Chapel.

Additionally, we have special meetings scheduled with the staff at each school, and the staff of the chapel, and an afternoon with the students' guardians.

We would appreciate your prayers over all of these events and visits! We also appreciate your ongoing support, more than we could ever express in words.❤️
