Assisting Parents And Raising Twinless Twins (APARTT) Supporting parents in the loss of a multiple and raising surviving multiples. We know that we are lucky for what we have, but miss what we should still have.

APARTT is a supportive place for parents who have lost a multiple and are raising a surviving multiple. A place to share their stories and grief while supporting others who are in the same difficult situation. It is a place for sharing our grief and the difficulties associated to our unique situation.

Why does it hurt so bad when a parent loses a child? Because there is no deeper love than the love shared between parent and child. The term “broken heart” is real and is now recognized in the medical field.

As much as I love the warmer weather, I dread June (the girls’ birthday) and July (My daughter’s angelversary). I get so Overwhelmed by my simultaneous happy and sad feelings of every milestone. I can’t explain why it hits me harder some years more than others. This year seems much worse. I’ve been dealing with chronic pain that is constant lately and I think that is contributing to my mental state. I just don’t like the periodic uncontrollable tears at inappropriate times. Fake yawning to cover up the reasons why My eyes are leaking at work or in public. The feeling of loneliness in my grief is always the most difficult.
