After nearly a year of writing, rehearsing, and creating together, we’re excited to finally share the Paper Flowers Proof of Concept Trailer.
Paper Flowers is an inclusive film project created in collaboration with artists from Open Hearts Art Center, a studio for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The story follows a group of outsider artists who rally around an out-of-work DJ after he loses his job to artificial intelligence, reminding us that art is ultimately about connection, belonging, and making something real together.
This trailer represents the work of dozens of artists, musicians, actors, filmmakers (Thanks to David Saich of Fiasco Media!) and community members. Most importantly, everyone involved was paid for their creative contributions. We believe inclusive filmmaking should value people’s talents not only with appreciation, but with compensation.
Now we’re raising funds to complete the full film and are seeking supporters, production partners, and champions who believe in the power of inclusive storytelling.
