There are sweet little bugs we hope to pick up from grass, and then there are ticks. Tick season is upon us, and it can be difficult to deter these buggers. Deet on your shoes or eucalyptus on your ankles, high socks and tucked in pants are some of the few effective options. A general rule of thumb is the longer the tick is attached, the greater the likelihood of transmission. Check your folds, or have your friends do it every day! Be on the lookout! 🐞

A key part of ARISE’s mission is to educate our community members. Wilderness safety, harm reduction, set up 101’s for youths, guided meditations, you name it. If we’ve got the expertise, we aim to share and spread that knowledge.

We believe in educating our communities about the power of harm reduction and the tools to save lives. Preparedness for emergencies is key to aid. We have had the privilege of teaching Narcan and harm reduction classes to community members at almost every event this season. This poster contains important information but being involved in those classes and seeing how to administer this care is key to understanding. Stop by to see us and pick up items we give away, like Narcan, to keep you and your community safe.
