Please follow our new Irene Wortham Center, Inc. page!

The page you are viewing now will be slowly phased out. We will send follow requests to our current followers to make sure you don't miss our posts!
See below for answers to questions you may have:
Why are you moving accounts?
We are no longer able to log into this Facebook account. We lack the authentication info Facebook is asking for, and our attempts to recover it have been rejected. Weβve tried many things over the last several months, but eventually decided making a new account was our only option. We apologize for the inconvenience it may cause.
If you donβt have access, how have you been posting?
Our Instagram account (which we can log into) is linked with this page, meaning posts uploaded there appear here. We can also post from the Meta Business Suite. These are imperfect solutions, as there are many things on Facebook we haven't been able to do (such as answer DMs).
Have you tried reaching out to Facebook support?
Facebook does not offer live support for access issues.
How do I prevent this from happening to my own non-profit?
Make sure the personal account connected to your company's page is that of a real person who can verify their identity using a driver's license. This account was attached to an account named Irene Wortham, our namesake, who passed away a decade before driver's licenses became mandatory in the state of North Carolina.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience, but we feel this is our best option to keep you informed about events at the Irene Wortham Center. You can also find our content on Instagram or our email newsletter. Thank you for your support!
