The over 100 applications that we received for this grant moved us deeply. It was a privilege to learn about so many amazing businesses in Western North Carolina and the challenges they faced in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, Asheville’s women-owned businesses face a steep road to recovery. From lost inventory to damaged spaces, many are rebuilding from the ground up. WE ARE, founded by Ginger Frank of Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn, Allison Blake & Elisa Van Arnam of SoulKu, and Meg Ragland of Plum Print, is here to help. With the partnership of HATCH Innovation Hub, we’re launching grants and mentorship opportunities to help these resilient women reclaim their dreams.
