At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. The funds you raise truly make a difference in the fight against cancer – just ask one of the nearly 14 million cancer survivors who will celebrate another birthday this year! Relay For Life teams camp out overni

ght and take turns walking or running around a track or path at a local high school, park, or fairground. Events are up to 24 hours long, and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times.

Hello Haywood County Relayers!

We are getting ready to Kick Off our 2017 event season and need your help!! We are excited to announce that the West Haywood and the Relay for life of Canton have merged together for the 2017 Relay For Life Event! We are looking forward to combing our resources to make one outstanding County-Wide Event! We will have an informational ELT planning Meeting on Thursday, October 27 at 6:15 PM at the Sagebrush Restaurant in Waynesville. If you are interested in helping with the 2017 event we would love for you to join us!! There is strength in numbers and there is a job for everyone that would like to help.

You can use the website for donations or money can be turned in via check or money order made payable to American Cancer Society and mailed to the address below. Be sure to indicate on your check or m.o. that it should go to West Haywood (and your specific team, if needed).
