Today marked the start of a new nutrition education series for our Residential Students! Led by Amanda Bremseth, EFNEP Nutrition Educator with NC Cooperative Extension – Buncombe County, these hands-on classes help students build lifelong healthy habits.

From planting and harvesting fresh produce on campus to learning about balanced nutrition and preparing healthy, nutritious meals, our students are gaining valuable skills that support their well-being and independence. We’re excited to see all they learn throughout this series! 🌱🥕🍅

This Pride Month, we stand with the LGBTQ+ community — not just in celebration, but in solidarity. 🌈

Everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, accepted, and supported for exactly who they are. But for many LGBTQ+ youth and adults, discrimination, isolation, and fear can have a profound impact on mental health.

Pride is more than a parade or a rainbow logo. It’s a reminder that affirmation, community, and compassion save lives.

This month and every month, we stand for love, dignity, belonging, and mental wellness for all. Because no one should have to struggle alone simply for being themselves.

We are so grateful for our LGBTQ+ foster parents, staff, and students we serve! 🏳️‍🌈

We ❤️ our volunteers! A team from Whole Foods came to clear some trails on campus today that have been blocked since Hurricane Helene. They worked SO hard and we are SO grateful for their support!

Now our residential students can access these trails as part of their outdoor experiences on campus.
