George Johnson is a college sophomore studying political science and human rights. He came out as transgender at 10 years old and has been living his true life as a male since. Having been given access to gender affirming care in his teens, closely before it was banned in his state, he aims to protect other young trans people through activism and telling his story with public speaking.

You have an intelligence you may not be using—one that guides you in living a life true to your deepest self. Imaginative intelligence is the realm of creativity, intuition, humor, awe, aesthetic appreciation, and insight. Allegra Huston explores how this non-rational intelligence works, why we tend to ignore it, and how reconnecting with it builds creativity, courage, and alignment with what you hold precious.

Communities don’t fall apart because people disagree. They fall apart because people stop participating. In this talk, David Huff introduces the idea of “trail magic”—small, timely acts of help—and shows how they form the foundation of strong communities. Drawing from experiences on the Appalachian Trail and beyond, he makes a simple case: when we step in instead of stepping back, we become part of what makes things work.

How many transgender people do you have to know to be an ally? Only one. In this talk, George Johnson shares his personal story of growing up transgender and his luck in getting life-saving treatment just two weeks before it was banned in his state. He shares the fear, love, and general discomfort of puberty at 17 so that everyone can meet a trans person and learn how to let trans kids grow up.
