🎄✨ A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Holiday Heroes! ✨🎄

This is the first of many posts we’ll be sharing to highlight the incredible people who made our recent holiday event possible. From local volunteers to helpers who traveled from all over the country, these heroes gave their time, expertise, and resources to create a truly magical experience.

Thanks to their efforts, we provided low-cost and free Christmas shopping to hundreds of Western North Carolina residents, bringing a little Holly Jolly normalcy to families in need this holiday season.

The Grateful Village Holiday Give Back made an incredible impact, helping so many families in WNC rebuild hope and find joy this season. In 2019, a group of incredible kids from North Carolina’s Destination Imagination team founded Chances for Children because they believed every child deserves the same opportunities they’ve had.Fast forward to 2024, after Hurricane Helene devastated Western North Carolina. These kids—now teenagers—are still fighting for their peers, ensuring that families can meet their basic needs: housing, utilities, transportation, food, and even a little holiday magic.This season, they’re working tirelessly to support families who have lost so much. Their determination reminds us that when children lead with their hearts, communities thrive.Let’s join them in making a difference. In a collaboration with we created a community art project that we kicked off at last week’s Holiday Giveback event! Thank you to everyone who participated in this event! So many families were able to shop for free with vouchers to buy holiday gifts! 🎁 Many more families were able to buy affordable gifts while knowing that 100% of their purchases went directly back into our community!
