The emphasis of Rotary is on challenging members to adhere to the "Ideals of Service" in our vocations, in our community and in the international community. Through the participation of its membership, the Rotary Club of Asheville South will undertake a wide variety of service activities including:

* Providing assistance with the local literacy programs.
* participating in local service projects such as disaster assistance,
Junior Achievement, Manna Food Bank, and the Rathbun Center.

April 2010 Rotarians and other community minded friends assisted in bagging over 1 million bags of food. Once packages, boxes and packed onto a truck, the food was then transported to Charleston, onto a ship and delivered to Haiti.
