Recently, Youth OUTright was approached by a city representative and invited to be part of Asheville’s Pride Proclamation. We were offered a chance to read the proclamation that was to be signed by Mayor Esther Manheimer prior to the meeting.

many who harbor prejudice against people don’t know who they are without it. they are afraid they won’t belong without it. that they won’t be without it. but we want a world where everyone belongs. we want a world held together by love, not fear.

I went into Barnes and Nobles yesterday and met one of the department managers. They have made several huge LGBTQ sections of books nonfiction, sci-fi, etc. Looking for that right book for a partner, friend, parent? Definitely, a good place to go! Also, they helped with board games! Who’s ready for a game night/afternoon? We are looking to bring gaming events back in January!🤞🤞🤞
