Hoping everyone is breathing a big sigh of relief that we dodged a bullet with Isaias largely missing us! Phew!

Now, who's joining us on Wednesday, October 14th at 6pm at Highlands Brewing??? We'll be on the Meadow. If the weather doesn't want us outside, we'll be in the taproom at one or two of the high-tops.

Please join us. If you're a seasoned player...we'll have some competition for you. If you're a beginner you won't be for long! Please join us! If you're coming, pls let me know you're bringing a board or not. I'll have extras.

See you on Wednesday!

Just back from an extraordinary trip to Egypt. To enumerate what we saw and experienced would take eons. Sights, beautiful weather (if a little warm) once-in-a-lifetime visits to King Tut's tomb, the Great Pyramids of Giza and The Valley of the Kings...oh, and Backgammon! It's official, it's everywhere...!

...oh great...even when I'm not there. Yes, The Asheville Backgammon Club will formally meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6pm, location will be announced (and, I'll be diligent in making sure our present members have a say in where that is).

PLUS, Eric Newman - music and Backgammon devotee - is likely there every Wednesday and welcoming players! Sometimes he gets me there too!

Join Us, Please! Seasoned or beginner players, we'd love to have you.

Fun AVL Backgammon Club gathering last night at Highlands Brewing and a growing group! There's some skill and some hidden knowledge in this group, too. We had a couple of exciting doubles matches, some "Canadian doubles" games which are a great way for everyone to learn from everyone.

We must have enjoyed it wrapping up at 9:15pm. And, for the record, Highland Brewing Company is a great venue with some great upcoming bands! Super friendly and a great spot for us!

Please mark your calendars for next time, Wednesday September 9 at 6pm. Location TBD. Beginners to very seasoned...ALL are welcome!

Thanks for everyone that joined us last night!
