The Gaston County Lodge Fraternal Order of Police is part of our nation’s oldest, largest and most respective law enforcement organization. There are now more than 6,500 members in 50 local lodges in North Carolina, officers from federal, state and local agencies, departments large and small, from the Great Smokey Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean. The Fraternal Order of Police also works to make la
w enforcement a profession that is better able to attract and retain competent, experienced officers, so that those officers are better able to fulfill their public duty. Many qualified people enter other fields that are safer or more highly compensated, and experienced officers often leave law enforcement for the same reasons. Today, all across our state is a great awareness of increasing crime related to the illegal drug business. The membership of the Fraternal Order of Police stands with you against those who would destroy all for which we have both worked so hard. We address not only the needs of our membership, but also your law enforcement concerns.
