Working Wheels

Working Wheels Working Wheels provides affordable, reliable transportation options to local families in need.

We offer 2 programs: The Vehicle Purchase Program and The Vehicle Repair Program. For the Vehicle Purchase Program, we repair and refurbish donated cars and sell them for $500 to working families. For the Vehicle Repair Program, we offer deeply discounted vehicle repairs for people who cannot afford to repair a vehicle they already own.

On June 25th, our friends at Pies By Di' are generously donating a portion of their proceeds to Working Wheels! When you stop in for a slice (or a whole pie—we won't judge 😉), you'll also be helping local families access reliable transportation for work, school, medical appointments, and everyday life.

It's one of the easiest ways to support your community:
✔️ Enjoy delicious pie
✔️ Support a local business
✔️ Help keep families driving

We hope to see you there!

The cost of a car repair can be a burden on working families. Without transportation, getting kids to school, keeping a job, or receiving medical care is difficult.

Working Wheels’ Vehicle Repair Program can help families keep their cars running. We offer low-cost auto repairs through our network of local mechanics. Participants in this program pay 10% of the repair cost, not to exceed $100.

For many, reliable transportation is the difference between keeping a job, getting kids to school, making medical appointments, or losing stability altogether. That’s why we’re building a community of 100 monthly donors committed to helping local families keep moving forward. A monthly gift, even $10 helps provide affordable, reliable transportation to families who need it most. ❤️ https://secure.qgiv.com/for/rjq7wk

“So grateful to BE ABLE to donate this car.” We hear stories every day about how reliable transportation changes lives, but this one hits especially hard. Sometimes the people donating a vehicle understand firsthand just how life-changing that support can be. This donated car will now help another local family get to work, school, medical appointments, and all the places that keep life moving forward.

Want to help keep families driving? Your donated vehicle could become someone else’s fresh start. 🚗 Learn more about donating a car: https://workingwheelswnc.org/donate-a-car/

Aylin recently purchased a car through Working Wheels and her words say it best: “Having a car means I have a reliable source of transportation with a newborn.” Referred by Nurse-Family Partnership, Aylin now has the reliability every new parent needs...getting to appointments, work, and daily life without uncertainty.

Because of community support, she has one less thing to worry about.
