UPDATE:
Hello Riceville Community and Friends. We have an answer to the road closed signs for Riceville Rd, Beginning tomorrow, 6/17/2026 at 08:00, Riceville Rd will be closed for approximately 2 days per discussion with DOT this morning. They will be working on replacing piping under the road so it will not be passable. So there will be detour signs from Old Farm School Rd ( #2) to Lower Grassy Branch Rd to US 70 Hwy. Please use caution on Lower Grassy Branch Rd because it is narrow and curvy. Build in a little extra travel time and all should be fine. Stay safe.
