Youth OutRight We envision a world where youth of all gender and sexual identities are empowered to reach their full potential. Founded in 2006, Youth OUTright WNC, Inc.

(YO) is the only youth advocacy and leadership non-profit organization in the region solely dedicated to empowering lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning/queer, intersex, asexual and allied (LGBTQIA+) youth ages 11-20 in Western North Carolina. We provide information, support and resources in a safe, inclusive and affirming environment. We believe that no youth – regardless of their sexual identity, gender expression or gender identification – should be bullied, harassed or discriminated against because of who they are or are perceived to be. Based on 2010 U.S. Census figures, it is estimated that there could be more than 4,000 LGBTQ youth in our 18-county region.

Constellations is now Your Little Friends/Tus Amiguitas (YLF/TA) 💜

🤔 Why the name change? 💭

We wanted our program to reflect the culture of our BIPOC youth and community members. And something we've all (more or less) heard from our BIPOC parents growing up is that we'd rather be with our "little friends" than at home. 👩🏾‍🤝‍👩🏽 This name change is a reclamation of the phrase "your little friends" and an avenue to cultivate spaces where community, healing, support, and growth are abundant for QTBIPOC youth. ✨

Everything else about the program is staying the same! 🥳 Your Lil Friends/Tus Amiguitas is an affinity group for QTBIPOC youth ages 11-24. YLF/TA currently meets on the first Tuesdays of each month from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at our Youth Center in Montford.

Transportation to the river and back to our center will be provided! 🚌⁠ Drop-off at our Center is from 3-4pm and then we all ride over to RiverLink together around 4pm!⁠

Q***r, questioning, and allied youth ages 11-18 are invited to join us for some fall fun with RiverLink! This program happens weekly on Wednesdays from 3 - 6 PM starting September 16th through November 4th. ⛵⁠
