Spooky season is upon us, and our October Dogs of Downtown are bringing double the tricks and treats! 🎃🐾👻

Meet Dottie and Roxy, the adorable duo you'll find at Madame Clutterbucket's Neurodiverse Universe!

🐶 Dottie, a mixed-breed "Mountain Goblin," overcame a tough start in Atlanta and now spends her days snuggling under cozy blankets and making hilarious pig-like grunts. Her superpower? Those satellite-dish-sized ears can detect a cheese wrapper opening from three rooms away! 🧀

🐶 Roxy, a resilient Pit Bull Terrier with an unforgettable underbite, is a certified bed hog, sunshine enthusiast, and self-proclaimed lapdog. This sweet "Velcro Dog" loves nothing more than being by your side, unless there's a squeaky toy nearby that needs destroying!

Together, Dottie and Roxy are a reminder of the incredible joy of adoption and the difference a loving home can make. ❤️

With Halloween just around the corner, there's no better time to stop by Madame Clutterbucket's Neurodiverse Universe for a little weird, whimsical, and wonderfully spooky Downtown shopping. You might even get to meet these two cuties while you're there! 🦇🍬

October isn't over yet, and we're still raising a glass to everyone who joined us for Asheville Oktoberfest presented by Fields Automotive on the South Slope! 🍻🍂

Despite the rainy weather, our community showed up! South Slope businesses were packed, the b**r was flowing, and we couldn't be more grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us.

A HUGE thank you to our nonprofit partners who volunteered their time to help make this event possible! Thanks to their hard work, we were thrilled to give back to these incredible organizations:

🐾 $2,500 to Asheville Humane Society
💚 $750 to Swannanoa Communities Together
🌿 $750 to Asheville GreenWorks

And just because Oktoberfest is over doesn't mean the celebration has to stop! There's still plenty of time to enjoy the fall weather, grab a beverage, and support the amazing local businesses that make the South Slope such a special place. Prost! 🍁🍺

The final piece of Fabric of Downtown is a quilt made by our community.

This summer, community members joined artist Dayna Walton at the Wall Street Steps Mural celebration to paint barn quilt panels, each inspired by the leaves of Downtown’s own trees. Barn quilts are a traditional folk art, usually found along rural trails. On Wall Street, they became a piece painted by the people who use the street every day.

The quilts are on view for the next few months. Stop by and visit the installation on Wall Street on Slava Cafe find your favorite leaf, and enjoy one of the most artistic little areas of Downtown.

Thank you to Dayna Walton Solstice Handmade, everyone who painted a panel, Slava Bakery, Leslie and Associates the property owner who welcomed the installation.

When you head to Wall Street, you might catch Dayna working on her next creation for Downtown!

🐾 Meet Cooper + Lily, the four-legged faces of Adlib Clothing!

Cooper, a 9-year-old Black Mouth Cur, and Lily, a 5-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix, have been welcoming shoppers since late 2024. Cooper takes his role as official greeter very seriously, while sweet, loyal (and slightly shy) Lily is usually keeping watch nearby.

When they’re not saying hello to customers, you can find them sniffing out their next adventure, running a few laps, or curled up together for a well-earned nap. 💤

Stop by Adlib Clothing and you just might get a wagging-tail welcome from these two. Because in Downtown Asheville, a warm welcome never goes out of style. ❤️🐶
