What is love? What is true freedom? Most who claim Christ do not live or act any different than anyone who lives without Christ.
I believe it is a matter of true relationship. How do we get to know anyone on this earth? Do we spend countless moments reading their profile, biographies, Facebook posts, and then claim "we know that person"? If you read everything a celebrity has written and everything thing that has been written about them, do you officially know him? After all your reading and studies knowing everything you could about that celebrity would that earn you a place in his life? Some believe so.
How then can we say we are friends of Christ if all we have done is studied his works and left our prayer requests at his feet? Without time and effort to talk to him about your thoughts and feelings and time of silence ("be still and know that I am God. . ." Psalms 46:10) how could you possibly know Jesus? Even those who constantly pray cannot know Him. Their conversations are all one sided. Be still and give God a chance to speak! Does He not know more than you!? Why are you in such a hurry to find yourself!? You are ignoring the one who can show you who you are!
You think you can do better on your own than why are you still so lost? Stop cluttering your life with stuff. You are only distracting yourself from what you really need.
Talk to God now. Tell Him that you are lost and scared and you don't know what to do. Tell Him what you want to do and how you feel. Thank Him for what you have. Praise Him for loving you no matter what you have done and take a few moments of silence with an open heart (ask Him to help you open up if you don't know how). Do that every day and I promise your life will change. Do It!
