Hey y'all, our next general meeting is Monday, October 20th, and we're having a change of pace! We'll be making a couple of important decisions about our union and then breaking into groups to plan how to organize where we work or help others organize where they work. Whether you've been to a meeting before, or if this is your first one--please come share your voice, and let's plan this fight together! We have power when we stand together as workers, and we all deserve safe and stable places to work!

The building is accessible, and masks are provided and encouraged during the meeting.

With summer coming to an end and the one year anniversary of Helene approaching-- AFBU is immensely grateful to everyone who participated in our very first JOY AS RESISTANCE.

Whether you came to our August dance party or rounded up your ticket at Dssolvr, please know that you made a real difference for a local hospitality worker in need.

Shout out to AFBU members Bobby Skelton and Britta Spencer for speaking up for all hospitality workers and what they're dealing with post-Helene. Lower wages, fewer hours, and higher rent make life really hard. People are struggling just to barely make ends meet. Now is the time for us to all stand together and demand affordable housing and better wages for all.
