โ˜€๏ธSunrise is hosting another ๐—ช๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น๐—ป๐˜€๐˜€ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—”๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ฃ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด (๐—ช๐—ฅ๐—”๐—ฃ) training in August! This is a 3-day, 15-contact hour training that will take place in Asheville over the last three Mondays in August (11th, 18th, & 25th) from 9AM to 2PM each day.

These 15 contact hours are approved to fulfill the extra hours needed to fulfill your peer support specialist certification (in addition to the NCCPSS training.)

Hosted @ Sunrise Community Center, today was all about honoring and caring for those working in addiction and in the recovery community. The energy was full of healing, gratitude, and connection.

We were blessed with:

๐ŸŒฟ Grounding acupuncture
๐Ÿ’‡โ€โ™€๏ธ A hairstylist who gave her time and talent
๐ŸŽค Inspiring speakers who poured into our hearts
๐Ÿด Delicious lunch prepared by 828 Meal Prep
๐Ÿ’ง Infused water, healthy drinks, and uplifting energy!

All Souls Counseling Center is deeply honored to announce that โœจCheryl Antoncic Suessโœจ will receive the 2025 Pam Penland Mental Health Champion Award at our upcoming spring fundraiser, Hope is in Bloom, on May 22nd from 5:30โ€“8:00pm.

Cheryl is a passionate advocate for mental wellness in Western North Carolina. As the co-owner of Bearโ€™s Smokehouse BBQ and the Founder of Linked4Life, she has helped create a lifeline for Ashevilleโ€™s food and beverage communityโ€”connecting workers with vital, no-cost mental health counseling. Her unwavering dedication to breaking down barriers to care and her heartfelt commitment to supporting others in their hardest moments have made a profound and lasting impact.

The Pam Penland Mental Health Champion Award, presented annually since 2022, honors individuals who embody the spirit of service and advocacy that drives All Souls Counseling Centerโ€™s mission. Cherylโ€™s compassion, leadership, and tireless work exemplify what it means to be a true champion for mental health in our region.
