Asheville Fermentation Association A community in which we explore the wonderful world of fermentation. From vegetable and beverage ferments to bread making and chocolate processing.

From the practical and hands-on to the ways in which it is a part of our society and culture. This group aims to bring together a community to explore the fermented world around us. Meet-ups (IRL!) can be anything: discussions and lectures on a set topic; hands-on or practical fermentation sessions; culture exchanges (sharing SCOBYs, kefir grains, etc.); tours or site visits; informal gatherings of fermentation enthusiasts. Open to everyone at all levels of knowledge and exploration.
