Yes, November is designated as National Adopt a Senior Pet Month
and we have SEVERAL SENIOR DOGS @ ABAR. This month-long observance raises awareness for older animals in shelters and encourages people to consider adopting them. Senior pets often get overlooked in favor of younger animals, but they can make wonderful companions, and adopting one is a life-saving act.

A time for awareness: National Adopt a Senior Pet Month, sometimes called National Senior Pet Month, is a dedicated time to highlight the many benefits of adopting older pets.
Often overlooked: Senior pets are frequently passed over for younger animals, which is why this month is crucial for giving them a second chance at finding a forever home.
Many advantages: Adopting a senior pet can be very rewarding. They are often calmer than puppies or kittens and may already be house-trained, skipping the demanding puppy/kitten training stage.
