EARLY ALERT - Potential Frost Possible

Saturday Night into Sunday Morning, we will experience an unusual cold spell. Temperatures could drop into the mid to upper 30s.

Our hearts, our prayers, and our most solemn condolences this morning are with the family of Boston Fire Department Firefighter Robert Kilduff Jr. and his brother and sister firefighters on Boston Fire Rescue Company 2 and across the Department. It is with deep sadness that the Chief announces the passing of retired Assistant Chief Mark Haven.

Assistant Chief Haven began his service with the department as a member of the Auxiliary in 1978 before joining the department in 1980. Through decades of dedicated service, he became a highly respected and deeply involved member of the organization, eventually serving as Assistant Chief from 2001 until his retirement in 2006.

Mark’s commitment to the department and the community left a lasting impact on generations of members. His years of service, leadership, and dedication will not be forgotten.

Please keep the Haven family, along with his fire service family and friends, in your thoughts during this difficult time.
