Grief Challenge Run Annual summer 5-mile or 5K walk or run through the beautiful Seven Sisters Prairie, MN honoring the grief journey.

We invite participants to run in memory of a loved one. 💛 This annual race, in memory of Ashby Alumni Dean Ellingson and Grant Finkelson, takes place along the gravel roads of Seven Sisters Prairie every August. The challenging hills of this course represent the grief of losing a loved one, while the beautiful scenery reminds us their spirit will never leave. This race will take place every year in the beautiful hills of rural Ashby, Minnesota. Participants can choose between:
- 5K Route: 1.5 miles of hilly gravel, then return on the same trail to complete the 3.2 miles.
- 5-Mile Route: a 1.2-mile stretch of level ground along Highway 78 with an up-close view of Lake Christina, then 4 miles of gravel roads and 16 hills to the finish. Register for the August 10, 2024 Challenge Hill Race Here: https://tinyurl.com/challengehillrace2024

Proceeds from the race will be distributed to local youth programs and Skate4Grant to build a local skate park, for more information or to make a donation directly visit, www.skate4grant.org.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. 💙
At the Grief Challenge Run, we believe every life leaves a mark, and every loved one deserves to be remembered.
For those who have lost someone to su***de, grief can carry a unique weight. There may be questions without answers, memories that bring both smiles and tears, and a lifetime of missing someone who should still be here.
That’s why we run.
We run to remember. We run to honor. We run to keep their stories alive.
This September, we’re holding close the families and friends who continue to grieve the loss of a loved one to su***de. May we never be afraid to say their names, share their memories, and remind one another that every life matters.
