Today was a good day!!! Thank you to Green Tea for supplying out staff with all the “Chickety China Chinese Chicken” we could eat. It was a great Friday lunch. All staff also got to cash in their tickets from all the games played all week, hoping to win some fabulous raffles donated by parents and the AWRSD community. We are so thankful for all of you. Winning staff will be posted on Monday.

No soup for you!!!! JK no Seinfeld Soup N**i here…everyone got Sa’More Ray’s delicious chicken soup for lunch today. Thank you to all the families that helped contribute to getting this for our staff. Our third staff winner was Jill Brewer who knew all the best 90’s movies!!!

Today….was a half day but we still celebrated our teachers and staff because we think they are all that and a bag of chips. Staff was treated to a nostalgic lunchable, adult style. Smith Country Cheese helped by donating cheese sticks and Overlook PTO supplied chips, trail mix, cookies and beef sticks all perfectly packaged for snacking through professional development. Jackie White was our second staff member selected for a bonus gift card for knowing all music from the 90’s.

What a beautiful day to celebrate the 2nd day of Teacher and Staff Appreciation week at Overlook! It was the perfect day to rock out to the 90’s classic “Ice Ice Baby” with Kona’s Ice Truck. Staff were treated to a lunch time frozen ice treat. Staff filled a classic 90’s cup with shaved ice and flavored the ice how they wanted. Staff also played a music trivia game. Sean Gorman was the first staff member to be awarded a $10 GC for knowing all about 90’s slang.

Today was our first day celebrating all Teaches and Staff at Overlook with a 90’s flare. Today we “Pump up the Jam” by kicking it in the totally awesome 90’s lounge and greeting each staff member with a personalized name plate on their doors and lockers. Bagels, muffins and sweet treats from Panera Bread started the morning. Then staff got to play “I’m in my 90’s era” and guessed who co-workers were based on a 90’s picture. Lastly staff got a first look at the raffles they are playing for all week. Students also picked up a bingo board for a week long bingo game that includes 90’s fact about their teachers and support staff. All muffins are generously donated by Chrissy Stanton, and Panera is donated by the Overlook PTO. More to come tomorrow.

Friends and family…. I understand everyone asks for fundraising help around this time but this is near and dear to my heart.
